Daedalus and Icarus Combining With Customized Superhero
Culminating Project: Superhero-Mythology Mash Up (15% of overall mark)
For your final project, you will be combining your superhero that you just created at the end of the Superheroes unit, with one of the Greek myths we have read. The second part of this assignment is to complete a reflection on the writing and creative process.
Part 1: Superhero-Myth Mash Up
Your superhero will travel and go into a Greek myth. How will the story change with your superhero being there? What are some of the effects of their super powers on the situation? How will the story end differently? How will your superhero react to the mythological people?
We have read the following Greek Myths (You MUST use the teacher versions that were posted on Edmodo/handed out in class, and not your own readings or translations!!!)
1) Uranus
2) Kronos and Zeus
3) Pandora
4) Psyche and Eros
5) Narcissus and Echo
6) Orpheus
7) Daedalus and Icarus
8) Theseus
You will choose one of the above Greek myths, and insert your hero into the story.
