Your purpose is to identify the similarities and differences for this audience, to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of the works you examine. It is not necessary to decide which of the works is better than another, although if your analysis allows for a credible evaluative conclusion you are allowed to state it. Both had a passion to liberate the Negro, "black community" from the discrimination that they were subjected to for many years. They were African-American leaders who settled for nothing but to ensure that the country`s racial injustices were dealt with. Martin Luther was particularly a revolutinist and a preacher who used non violent and civil disobedience tactics that led to the changing of laws in the American constitution. These changes ended the segragation of the blacks from the whites. The current president of America, Barrack Obama symbolised the dream that Martin Luther King junior had. Martin Luther King dreamt of a black American president. Barrack Obama fulfilled that dream and became the first African-American , black president that the country has ever had. This essay compares and contrasts two speeches from the two heros, Martin Luther King, Jr.`s "I Have a Dream" and Barack Obama`s "A More Perfect Union.;.
