Impacts of blaming China for the Coronavirus pandemic

Many social, economic, and cultural issues have either stopped or been postponed indefinitely due to the virus. For instance, the Olympics, which has been an event that has happened for many years, was postponed for the first time due to the pandemic. The virus has also fuelled a strained relationship between two of the biggest economic powers in the world. US President Donald Trump has taken to the media to blame the outbreak on China, calling on the Chinese government to take full responsibility for putting the world in its present condition. In one of his statements from the White House in Washington DC, Donald Trump was quoted referring to the novel coronavirus as "kung-flu", which is an insinuation that the virus is related to kung-Fu, and ancient Chinese martial arts technique. His sentiments, according to analysts created tension between China and the United States of America.
