Sex change is greatly attributed to gender confusion. Individuals who undergo this process never change to their intended sex, but rather become masculinized women and feminized men. In many occasions, sex change has been argued to be a sign of significant distress, and not a mental disorder. Bruce Jenner can be said to be undergoing mental distress with his identity as a male.
