Today, Branson is one of the richest business tycoons in the world. He dropped out of school at the age of 16 because he was poor in academics. Branson then began his record business from the basement of a church and advertised his records in a magazine called ‘The Student.’ The magazine achieved immediate success and therefore Branson started trading records under a brand name called ‘Virgin Records’ (Courtney 4). It started as a humble business selling music records. Today, the business is called Virgin Group, which currently holds more than 400 companies. Gradually, the company has expanded thus creating other Virgin Megastores such as Virgin Atlantic Airline, Virgin Galactic (Space Tourism Company) and others. Branson’s business empire includes a space tourism company, a luxury game preserve company, an airline company, a train company and a mobile phone company. He is a billionaire business entrepreneur, and today he is the 4th richest person in UK and is identified as one of the top ten most inspiring people in the world.
Branson believes in having a positive attitude. He knew how to turn a disadvantage into an advantage. He managed to overcome his dyslexia thus becoming one of the greatest entrepreneurs in the world (Veeramani 10). He believes that anything can be achieved.
