The question, “who am I?” is one that often comes up during adolescence as teenagers begin experiencing physical, mental and social changes that put a series of test before them to determine their life choices. Identity is the new way of considering oneself, which develops among children who are transitioning into adults aged twelve to nineteen years. With psychologist Eric Erikson stating that failure of teenagers to build their identity results in an identity crisis, it is important they form their identity to develop their personality, sense of self and independence.
