The majority of Americans’ view is that there is a great need for a third party. According to Reinhart (np), since the year 2013, a greater percentage have of Americans believed that it is necessary to have a third party while a lesser percentage believe that the two parties Republicans and democrats. This trend is a well-observed way back to the year 2003. Third parties or minor parties are believed to launch prominent campaigns and ideologies that influence the way the Americans vote (Reinhart).
It is difficult for third-party candidates to win an election. This is influenced by the fact that the two major parties hold vast human and financial resources over the third parties (Clark 6). Over a few years, the two major parties have been able to discredit the views of third party candidates.
