He Took $400 Bribes to Smuggle Migrants” reveals how border corruption contributes to illegal immigration along the border between Mexico and the United States of America (USA). In March 2019, Ronaldo Vidaurri Jr. was found at Pearsall, Texas, having crossed the USA border with five migrants in a Ram pickup (Mark). Migrants’ smugglers bribe border patrol officers to be allowed to enter the USA carrying undocumented people from other countries.
Vidaurri was arrested and pleaded guilty to smuggling migrants across the USA border.
