Watergate Scandal
Watergate scandal was a discredit that took place in Washington D.C from 1972 to 1974 when President Richard Nixon was in power and seeking re-election for a second term. The scandal began on the morning of June 17, 1972 (Chouinard 2). In the incident, buglers were bundled at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex. It was not normal theft as the perpetrators were directly linked to the campaigns of the president. The buglers were wedged when monitoring phones and pilfering papers. The president took intended to hide the inappropriate act until Washington Post reporters revealed his conspiracy.
