Perhaps one of the most colorful prices of every society’s culture is their tales of emergence and/or origins. Simply put, the want to justify human’s existence has been one of the most common reasons as to why people from different parts of the world, have their own tales of which they began and who have created us (Meister). This is the reason why these tales place a great emphasis towards who the first human beings are and where they originated, such as Adam and Eve in the Christian version, and “The First Man” and “The First Woman”, in the Navajos version of the story of emergence. Apart from this similarity for different societies to justify one’s existence, another belief is that there exists a higher being which portrays its love towards us, humans, which is either his creation or his fellow entities. Going back to our discussion of the Judeo-Christian and Navajo’s tale of love, it could be argued that one of the main events in the Christian version would be the creation of the garden of Eden, where God gave everything that man could possibly need. On the other side of our religious comparison, this tale of love could be seen in Begochiddy’s “planting the reed” to save its fellow entities (including the first man and woman) from the disasters of the different world’s where they’ve been.
