The medieval cathedrals built during the middle-ages in cities contained significant heritage of religion. The churches were huge and primarily showed their faith, wealth, and the creativity. The expansive buildings, concentration to detail in architecture, decoration, and materials used in constructing them led to the vast costs. There was a lot of money used in creating every section of the monumental cathedrals to create a long-term and magnificent project.
The religious institutions and figures had the responsibility of driving the development of the cathedrals. However, the community played a critical role in providing the finances and labor needed to build them (Vroom 103).
