Introduction
Abraham Lincoln tenure as president caused one of the biggest controversy that America has ever seen. This was due to his strong views against slave trade, whether in public or private. He stated that slavery interfered with the aspect of free labor and free soil. Apart from that, he went ahead and tried to do away with slave trade in the United States. This had a negative consequence in the United States. It resulted to a civil war and his assassination later on after the war.
