Daoism and Confucianism are ancient Chinese styles of life. Confucianism is basically centered on setting excellent examples for other people to follow, particularly in five major relationships. These relationships include between ruler and subject, wife and husband, older and younger sibling, friend and friend, and father and son. On the other hand, Daoism centers on the idea of living in harmony, and is majorly known as the origin of the concept of yin and yang. There are numerous differences between Confucianism and Daoism, which include the practices, use of statutes and pictures, the beliefs in God, founders, life after death.
Although these two philosophies appeared during the same period, there are numerous differences. Daoism centers on the rules for life of an individual where Confucianism focuses on the entire society. There are numerous concepts that they also have in common. For instance, Daoism and Confucianism both have philosophical and religious aspects. However, they have different modes of thinking about God, life, and relationships. There are particular behavioral codes that define the diverse life aspects of each individual and how they relate to each other.
