The history of the Mongols is one of the most interesting developments of the time. This is especially the case when considering the Silk Road. The central Asian steppe was the platform on which all the developments that took place For Gunghis Khan, building the song empire was one of the toughest challenges that he faced. Much of the growth that the region experienced can be attributed to the much zeal that he had for the region. He put much of his life in the life of fire to make sure that his ideas came through. According to the Silk Road in World History, the book mentions the fact that, for Khan he would risk much more than the money to get his way (Liu, Xinru, p.g 111). Even in the instances where he would not get his way, especially where most of the other leaders did not agree, he brought out the zeal that he had for the region. He was largely eager to make sure that he was able to achieve his dreams for the region. One of the aspects that comes out is the level of strategy that Khan had. This is relative to the fact that, for every plan that the Muslim had he had a response to work with. However this is rather clear indication of the abilities that he had as a leader. He had the personality of a leader with a vision. More importantly, the element of vision comes through the element of fighting for what he believed in.
