There was a rapid growth in the United States (US) in 1865 to 1900 and by 18160 all cities had more than one million citizens. People were attracted by farming and mining to move to the West as this were the most popular activities among the Native-Americans and Mexican-Americans in the region. The living and working conditions became poor with increased population in these areas. This affected the migrants and foreign immigrants who were in United States. This paper describes the people who were living in the American West in 1865 to 1900 and their working/housing conditions.
