I am championing a course to save our planet and preserve it for the future generations. My interest in the environment dawned on me that as I grow older, so does the need to figure out how to come up with scalable and sustainable solutions to environmental challenges we face comes up. It is an interest I developed while doing my O levels (British Curriculum) when studying environmental sciences. I developed a deep passion and sought to expand my knowledge by joining your institution to pursue a degree in environmental sciences. The George Mason University boasts of notable alumni with decorated careers in this field such as Dr. Groover and Dr. Valdez, who have made indelible marks in preserving the environment. I relate to their vision and hope that George Mason would help me achieve mine.
I chose George Mason University because I feel it resonates with my course. George Mason's vibrant environmental club and a course in environmental sciences make me tingle, and I believe it offers me a perfect opportunity to learn more about how I will achieve my goal. Increasing my knowledge in a world-class university like George Mason would offer me a rare opportunity to work, meet, connect and share ideas with other like-minded people, especially in the environmental club.
Over the past few years, I have volunteered in various environmental preservation campaigns in my native community Dubai, UAE that aim at creating awareness and thinking of actionable steps that could lead to a positive change.
