I am applying for a scholarship to NPHF.
"The NPHF/Procter & Gamble Endowed Scholarship in Community Service" is awarded to a nurse practitioner graduate student enrolled in a Master's, DNP or PhD program who has made significant positive contributions in school, in the community, or in patient care while in the pursuit of an advanced degree."
I am currently pursuing Master Science of Nursing/Family Nurse practitioner(FNP) since January of 2019. I also want to get another specialty of certified Psychic Nurse Practitioner as I am interested in a holistic approach within a family. I do like to provide a care for entire family members in wholistic way including mental problems and spiritual areas in underserved population.
I have 27 years of nursing experience including my country and U.S. in specialties of ER, ICU, Step-down unit, Oncology, Gynecology, and Home Health...
I am also actually participating in community events and volunteer activities as a membership coordinator to outreach new members and maintain current members at the Korean American Nurses Association Southern California with lots of strategies as well as involving in welcome committee staff at Church First Impression Team to show the hospitality to multicultural people who visit our church. I have joined several mission works and trips as medical missionary. I do believe that it will be enough to be be qualified for this scholarship. So i am trying.
I will upload some of my files related to my personal goal and statement to become a FNP and a personal essay related to the interests to underserved population.
