Milly
When she was born, her mother was not seeing eye to eye with her parents. First, she had been born out of wedlock, the parents did not like the father, and they did not expect their well-behaved daughter to get pregnant. So, upon learning about her birth, the parents felt hurt and betrayed by their daughter, who had been raised within the boundaries of the strict Christian life. Suggestions were tabled, and, of course, the parents were not ready to allow their daughter to keep the pregnancy. However, their daughter ran away, gave birth, and named her child Milly. Milly came into the world with the innocence of every child. She melted her mother’s heart, and from the time she was young, the two had a bond that could not be easily broken. However, when Milly was two, her mother was taken ill and later passed on the same year. For Milly, this was a new start, and she had to live the rest of her life with questions that came to be answered when she was an adult. But, she felt and knew that something was missing.

People who have dyslexia happen to struggle reading and comprehending text. Some of the symptoms of dyslexia include difficulty sounding out new words, reversing letters, poor fluency relative to other children, struggles with rhyming and other sound patterns, and difficulty spelling certain words. Some children will also shy away from reading, especially when called to do it in front of everyone.
Dyslexia can be a major impediment to a child’s growth and can impact their confidence as they grow because they may feel inadequate or different. Milly was experiencing the same symptoms, and her confidence was greatly affected. She went from the bubbly little girl to the shy girl who avoided people. However, her grandfather refused to give up on her and started investigating ways to deal with the problem. Slowly, the family understood that the problem was quite common and that many children are victims of the same. The gr...
