The research gathered information from native speakers, and the two languages compared are Chinese and Japanese. The Chinese and Japanese way of speaking has different expressions in tone and wording, which are appropriate for different situations. The study compares the data by taking into account the cultural concepts and personal concerns of the speakers.
The study presents how politeness is a product of language and aesthetics. The use of politeness created a kinder expression in community behavior. The Chinese and Japanese society indoctrinate children about the ways of politeness, and its connection to language and demeanor.
