2019 Dean's Transfer Student Welcome
Oregon State University's College of Business is a renowned institution and during its 2019 student welcome, the students are given a clear image of what the university is about. Its acceptance includes a diverse number of students such as; international, veterans of the US military and first-generation college students. The university offers a variety of majors in business such as; management, apparel, interiors, accountancy, marketing, design and innovation management. The event is intended for the students to familiarize themselves and their fellow colleagues undertaking a certain major and their transfer origin.
The students are introduced to the faculty starting with the Student Engagement team. The team oversees and instructs students on the credit courses they are supposed to take during their time in the university. It is also responsible for overseeing student activities on the campus such as clubs and many more. It is to be noted that some of the students are entering their third year and they will need to book internships and career opportunities. They are advised to seek assistance from professionals such as Brianna Beene, an event manager. The university also has a team of advisors that will guide the students in completing the required credits so that they can graduate.
For the credits, courses with a level of similarity are grouped and put under one head.
