Until now, I have not done any research or project, and if I am accepted into the Schreyer Honors College, I would like to take Finance as a major. Finance is one of those very few subjects that should be taught at all schools, colleges, and universities. I think that if more and more people learn how to balance their checkbooks or how to pay off their debts, it will be easy for them to contribute to a sustainable and strong economic system. Perhaps, the current generation is not aware of the significance or value of finance, and by studying this subject, I would like to make people in my circle understand how they could become strong financially.
There are a lot of advantages of studying Finance which go beyond personal needs or requirements. I have found some industry insiders claiming that careers in Finance will grow up to 30 percent or more in the next few years. This means if I study this subject or obtain a degree in Finance, it will be easy for me to land a job of desire.
