The overall competitive profile matrix favors the Garden Inn Hotel managed by the Hilton Hotels with 5.03 total weighted score comparative to Aloft Hotel and Courtyard Hotel with 4.29 and 4.68 total weighted scores, respectively. The critical success factors that were used to rate the competitiveness amongst these hotels are the critical issues in the hospitality industry especially for an entrepreneur wishing to start a three-star hotel (Reid, 2010). From the competitive profile matrix, it is evident that the three hotels managed by well-known corporations are strongly positioned in the industry since they all receive a score of more than 2.50.
One key advantage of Aloft Hotel to Courtyard Hotel and Garden Inn Hotel is that it provides superior quality services, which is a critical issue in the hospitality industry.
