Career fairs play a significant role in preparing the aspiring or rather prospect employees such as ourselves for the available opportunities and career development paths in the job market. Such events also facilitate the enhancement of an individual’s skills in establishing networks within the job market through effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Consequently, one ends up building up their confidence during the interactive event and thus preparing them for prospective interviews upon the completion of studies. Career fairs also avail the emerging trends in the job market such as the new or evolving career paths and employers’ demands for employment in the increasingly competitive market. It is for the outlined reasons that I took upon myself to interact with two employers from renowned corporate organizations at the just concluded career fair to gain more information on the shifting demands of the job market.
