Music is a combination of different melodies that soothes our soul. I tend to think of music as a snack. Such that if music perhaps is a snack of affection due to how rhythm and melody flow, please perform it loud with plenty so that I never grow weary because of my appetite and ultimately end up passing away. Music helps one cope with life. Also, music can trigger one's emotions. I would personally define music as a medicine to my soul. Music tends to have different definitions for different people. To some, music is a form of therapy. There are different genres, the way that music is composed, and its rhythm. Due to technological advancement, a lot has changed in the music industry. It is hard to compare what was like two decades with what there is now. The introduction of AI technology whereby one can compose a song with the aid of artificial technology. This has out shadowed the use of creativity. The music industry changed a lot with the introduction of auto-tune. Nowadays, you don't need to attend any school to train on your vocals.
Writing and composing original music is an ongoing process that can be achieved in a diversity of ways. To start with, creativity should be on top of the list; this can be achieved if the composer or the songwriter is learning. Because every day, there is all way new things to learn. Everyone is unique, so stay straightforward and true to yourself. An original piece of music is a combination of different musical elements in a way that has never been witnessed. It is hard for a new artist because most new songs revolve around a topic/ song that has existed, although new songs may be estimated differently from the original. For example, let us look at pop which is very popular nowadays. Most music composers tend to use current hits to market their songs which may compromise the authenticity of their songs. This reminds me of when I was starting up. Whenever I wrote a song, it would end up being assimilated into music I had listened to, and this would question my authenticity. However, a person from a different genre can combine this style and end up producing something amazing, completely original, and most definitely a hit song. A piece of good music, in terms of expertise, can be identified more accurately; everything should be put together in a way that is pleasantly recognizable and still maintains creativity while at it. When it comes to lyrics, I try to think of it as a rhythmic trend in how the lyrics and music work cohesively to support each other. This may be different from a singer who sits down with his/her guitar and sketch out a tune; this is because when composing, one requires atleast chords to have a start. It's hard to start off without guidance.
Having written a verse and chorus, it is not enough to play them countless times. For example, you can combine different sets of harmony, such as guitar, drum, and bass. The potentials are infinite. You have to keep moving regardless. Even elusive addition can bring about more listener attention.
