Getting to Know Impressionistic Music
There is a close relationship between music and art. The connection has been exhibited since the Romantic era in the 19th century and going through the 20th century. The artistic worlds of Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir and the music of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel music are some of the works that enhance thematic concern in any setting. Claude Monet was the leader of the impressionist movement that increased painting in the open air and getting the natural light (Feng 33). Pierre-Auguste Renoir, on the other hand, led in the advancement of the impressionist style and painted images that reflected rea life situations (Somervill 45). Claude Debussy was an impressionist composer in the music industry. Together with Maurice Ravel, they used the impressionist style to compose their songs and enhance their thematic concern (Yang 13). In essence, the music and the art of the mentioned individuals indicated how music and dance were related in society.
