Peter Hujar: Speed of Life
Peter Hujar: Speed of Life, which is on view at The Morgan Library & Museum, consists of a collection the artist’s work. The exhibition is ongoing since 26 January and closes on May 20 2018. The exhibition consists of one hundred and forty photographs that are deemed influential and his best works. In additional to his popular photographs, the exhibition includes the less popular work, depicting his development as an artist over the years. The exhibition consists both of his works completed at the Morgan Library and other nine different collections. The show follows his life from the beginning in the mid-1950s, up to three decades later in the East Village art (The Morgan Library & Museum). The exhibition was organized by the Morgan Library & Museum, in collaboration with the Fundacion MAPFRE and Terra Foundation for American Art, among others (The Morgan Library & Museum).
