Dance Concert Performance Paper
People always perform concerts which include some elements of dance to entertain and educate their audience. To achieve the purpose, the performers use various design aspects such as special effects, lighting, scenery, and costumes to make their work more appealing to the target audience. The essay covers how the dance performance that I attended achieved its purpose of educating and entertaining the target audience.
First, the performers achieve their purpose of entertaining the audience through their physical movement and the way they express their feelings. The performance starts with a group of people running across the stage from left to right before starting to dance the African style. The dance was funny as everyone laughed as a male performer appears at the stage and starts carrying each and every female performer. After that, all the dancers come together and make some body movements to show how happy they were. Apart from entertaining, the music also educates (Kassing 8). The educational part of the performance is seen from the words uttered by one of the performers that ‘’If you knew me, the real me, you would find me unlovable.’’ The statement explains that we should carefully identify the right person to fall in love with since some people are unlovable. Hence, it acts as a warning to be cautious before falling in love.
