Physical barriers
Physical barriers impede communication between two or groups of people. Physical barriers include distance, noise, or environmental features that can prevent effective exchange of information between the sender (s) and receiver (s). Physical distractions are the material that can block communication pathways.

Physical barriers can be eliminating or minimizing such obstacles to communication. The use of mobiles, WhatsApp platforms, emails, and other instant messaging or calling platforms have managed to eradicate the change of distance as physical barriers to communication.
Other ways include:
reducing physical distance during face-face communication
Use of loudspeakers to speak to huge crowds.
Team meeting rooms should be favorable for communication, i.e., warm and clean ( Rani, 2016, pp.75)

Personal Barriers
Individuals do have personal features that often may negatively impact communication. Personality factors such as social values, inferiority complex, competency to communicate, bias, attitudes, and limited time, can impede communication. For instance, personality disorders like anxiety can adversely affect one’s ability to communicate effectively. Equally, lack of confidence and inferiority complex can make one lack the desired capability to share with others.

These personality challenges regarding communication can be resolved independently of each problem through therapy, counseling, and personnel training. For example, an individual can be trained on how to manage anxiety or inferior complex.

Language and Semantic Barriers
The art of language is marked by great diversity in meaning and understanding. Similar words can denote different meanings to different groups or persons. A sender might send information that the receiver may interpret differently from what the sender intended.
