In the model, change is external and situational, and occurs when something starts or stops, while transition is an internal experience that influences adaptation to change. When there is a transition one thing must end and another begins, and the HR personnel have an important role to play in guiding changes during transition. The HR also supports strategies to remain and gain competitiveness over the competitors, and this is especially when the strategies are flexible that they can be adapted to the current and future situations (Chadwick, Super and Kwon, 2015, p. 363). During transitions, there is assessment of the changes and the factors likely to affect. Another way that the HR supports change management strategically is through supporting well integrated training and development. Additionally, the HR focuses on dynamic training targeting the changing workforce to ensure that those who are selected and work in the organizations are best suited to work there. Change depends on how people react, interact and how they prepare for impending changes as well as how they are managed and involved in the change management process.
