Both life and leadership are unique realities in their own ways. The skills which work effectively for one leader may fail to work for another leader. Nevertheless, everyone can adopt fundamental leadership skills at home, at work or in the community. I refer my uncle as a great leader because of the success not only he has made in his family, but also for the organizations he has worked. He was born to be a leader, and besides that he has made himself be a great leader. His natural traits helped him to be a leader in his profession. I say this because my uncle is an outgoing person, he is intelligent, he has a will to dominance, and he is physically attractive. He managed to assume leadership positions due to these traits. Leadership prowess can be wired into his DNA, and this can be seen in his dominating character and toughness, which have enabled him to lead others. A will to power is something that runs in our family lineage. My late grandmother had a will to power and was a leader during her time, and these are the same traits I see my uncle have inherited. In other words, genes work through cognitive skills, intelligence, personality and certain physical characteristics. All these have influenced by the uncle to become a good leader. He is one of the senior managers, working as the Head of Human Resource for a local firm where people know him as a good leader, although people describe him as a tough person.
My uncle is known as a driven and willful leader. He has helped to manage a number of local companies to commercialize and develop desired change. His leadership style is complex, which can be seen in his strengths and weaknesses. His strengths can be seen through his commitment to drive better results, his confidence to take risks, and his charismatic passion for encouraging employees with his aspirations. However, on the other side, he has weaknesses; people who know him describe him as interpersonally immature due to his hypercritical, stubborn, and impatient, and cruel at times.
