As the 2016 presidential elections draw nearer, there is need for some solid plans to be laid out on the best way forward. In this case, the best way forward will involve formulating a winning strategy that with help in getting the voters to rally behind you at the ballot box. As such, what follows is an analysis of the various campaign strategies that were used during the 2012 presidential elections. Specifically, this is an analysis of the different strategies that were used by both Obama and Romney in their race in the 2012 presidential elections, along with the various demographic considerations that affected the swing states and why they were such an influence in the outcomes of the election results in the 2012 presidential elections. From the Obama campaigns, there are a set of elements that come out quite clearly and can be easily adopted in upcoming campaign efforts. One of the elements that comes out from the evaluation of the campaign adverts orchestrated by the Obama campaign team, was that the adverts were victory oriented. The adverts involved a series of well-targeted combination of narrations, images and captions that highlighted the basic successes that Obama had had in his last stay in office. The organization of the same is also very crucial; this is in light of the fact that even the selection of the voice, sound bites and the music is congruent with the images and most importantly the message to be passed. The deep voice that is used in the narration is calm and collected, stating out facts in a way that speaks confidence and truth to the information. The images speaks volumes about the various projects that the Obama administration had been able to carry out. In the end, Obama’s voice can be heard in a way to authenticate what the deep voice in the narration is passing across. The music is also categorically selected, as it acts a point of inspiration.
One of the elements that comes out about these advert campaigns, is that, the team brought out facts and supported the same with inspirational and persuasive tones to influence the voters. This is a key element in the ability to win over voters, where the candidate simply puts out the fact that to the voters. By helping the voters with this kind of information, it is easy for them to make informed decisions, which will be towards the support of the facts that have been brought to them...
