The ‘form follows function’ slogan according to Louis Sullivan, determines an approach that architectures would use when designing and erecting skyscrapers. He believed that the shape of a building or object should follow the function it is to satisfy or the way of life, it would live. Further, the term ‘function’ referred to the life force a building would experience in a bid to fulfill its use in nature. He believed that skyscrapers were to be built tall and grand.
