Racism and stigmatization of Native Americans is wrong because they were the first inhabitants of the American nation. The notion of the European settlers that that the Native Americans are the deterrent to access and control by Europeans of land and natural resources hence, their stigmatization is also wrong. The strategies used to get rid of the Native Americans such as violent invasions, brutal decimation or seizing land and homes owned by the natives are dehumanizing. The Inherent Americans were shifted to destitute and impoverished areas of the country and forced to adapt to the new Euro-American culture. In addition, it is wrong to disallow people from communicating their native language as well as force them from getting involved in their cultural traditions and hinder children taken to boarding schools from visiting their families for almost eight years. Flames of violence, such as racism and stigmatization, whether direct or indirect causes mental and emotional degradation continue to destroy the well-being of the Native Americans. This is harmful since it has led to common derogatory stereotypes of inherent Americans being portrayed negatively in movies and films, textbooks, works, television as well as kids’ toys. As a result, this has become a souvenir of the inadequate and stereotypical means by which others see them, which in addition distresses how they perceive themselves.[Laura Richman and Mark Leary. Negative results such as suffering from excessive historical trauma or loss have been experienced due to the inherent Americans being imperiled to cultural desolation, life-threatening violence, forced assimilation and continuing discrimination. As a result, these sufferings affect the victim’s psychological, social and emotional condition.
