Immigration is a hotly debated topic in the United States especially in the political circles. Over the years, millions of people have immigrated into the United States from all parts of the world and it has become a melting pot of cultures. However, many natives and American citizens worry about the long-term effects of welcoming immigrants and it is the contentious issue that politicians have fronted many proposals some dubious to stop immigration into the country. In the last few years, the trump administration has cracked down on illegal immigrants citing that they are taking Americans’ jobs and they are the reason for increased crime in the country. He has suggested to build a wall on the south border of the United States with Mexico since most immigrants come from the south. Most Americans point out that immigrants are economic burden.
