The reading collates different experiences of Gregg Bordowitz about his own struggle and journey with aids and his personal role as an activist and filmmaker in the center of the 1980’s. The AIDS activism during that time was very intense and on the rise. Gregg recounted his story of how he discovered his sickness. He also recounts his interaction with people who have helped him along his way. As a filmmaker, Bordowitz has already been working in the field and has worked with the subject of AIDS and how it affects the social like of people. The reading takes a direction that focuses on the postmodern perspective of Gregg and how he tackles his problem by relating it to his anticipation of the future.
