The Mother Goose is a combination of five-piece suite that was created and orchestrated by Ravel in year 1991. The orchestra is the most common form of the piece of work listened today. The “Pavane of the Sleeping Beauty” is one of the orchestral works that was composed by Maurice Ravel. The composition was based on the tales of Charles Perrault and begins and ends with the story of the sleeping beauty. The whole work of art does not have major variations of notes and therefore this creates a repetitive and flowing rhythm. The Aeolian mode theme is played by a flute. In addition, a counter melody is played by violas and muted horns. The “Conversation of the beauty and beast” is another work of art was created and orchestrated by Maurice Ravel following the curious master of Arcueil. This movement was created from the work of Satie whom Ravel acknowledged as the “grand papa” of the movement since it resembles a Gymnopedie. The music opens up with a slow-waltz music which captures the attention of the listener. He made the work unique by playing a solo clarinet which produces the graceful waltz.
