The Difference
Armchair anthropology would not be recognized as a passive pursuit in search of information while researching on communities. It had a a minimal reflection that looked at works done by other writers. Moreover, the kind of research done through Armchair anthropology was not detached from the informants and their activities that collected and did data recording while at their stations. On the other hand, Ethnography includes getting involved in the daily lives of a given community for a long time to collect different forms of data about such a community.
