The events were brought to the United States by the growing power of different communist countries in the wake of the occurrence of the World War II. The war particularly aimed at the Soviet Union. Many people in the United States feared that the Soviet Union, as well as its other allies having a plan forcefully to spread the idea of Communism around the world. The Communism was to overthrow both capitalist and democratic institutions as it spreads across the globe. The occupation of Soviet Union in most places in the Eastern and Central Europe, many individuals in the United States perceived their fears of confirmation of expansionism by the communism.
