Topic: The film thematizes the act of filming, especially as a way of signaling ‘movie-making’ itself as a kind of time-machine. What is the relationship between movie-making and time-travel at work in one, or both?
Please DONT research for more sources but reference from the movie "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" (2019), directed by Q. Tarantino and the reading “The Fact of Television” by Stanley Cavell.

Once Upon a Time
The film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood could appear real except for the depiction of time in the movie. It took place in 1969 between February and August. In the actual time, this was the time the sixties were coming to an end. At this time is when the murders of Tate-LaBianca occurred. These Tate-Labianca murders occurred on two separate nights. The first occurrence was during the invasion of a house on Cielo Drive on the 8th August, which led to the killings of Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger and Steven Parent. On the next day, more killings of more family members took place at Waverly Drive, including that of Manson too.[Quentin, Tarantino. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, DVD(2019; Hollywood). (premiere), California: "Lancer" Western scenes, 2019.]
Tarantino's film tells a story whose time passed and no longer exists. Different from the turnout of events in the real scenario of Tate's murders, the film presents a fairytale narration with a better ending compared to the brutal one that occurred in the sixties. He relives the past but more with an expectation of correcting the ills that ensued in those times. In his film, the brutal killings that occurred to the Tate's are finally paid for through vengeance and aversion. The end of the movie is that of Tarantino trying to put rights in what happened years back. To him, it is about having a better and original version of the events that ensued in the late 1960s in Tate's family. In his film, he uses the Manson's family as a representation of this no longer existing family. The film is centered on Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), who was once a profound actor before things started getting difficult for him leading him to resort to other ways of discovering new talent. The other character is Rick's best friend Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), who was before a green beret in World War II. It could also be about Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) who, with her husband, Roman Polanski, are neighbors to Dalton who hopes that somehow with some connection, he could be able to reinstate his dying career. The story around these three characters all narrow down to 8th August 1969: a time when the murder occurred in the Manson's family.
The way the characters in the film use the time while traveling around takes the audience do different times of history. One gets to understand how much an era can be quickly forgotten using the aspect of time. Tarantino takes his audience through something that could be totally out of this world. For instance, in the film, three members of the Manson family in August 1969 are involved in mass murder at Roman Polanski's home. The crimes are viewed as a symbol for when the 1960s comes to a close. It is more like a film for when an era is closing together with the people existing at that given time. With both their misery and happiness, they cannot deduce what is going to ensure soon. Though the Manson family point to the end of the story, there is a lot that takes place preceding this moment. The illusion of how time travels characterize Tarantino's film, which could perhaps have been borrowed from films like 20th Century Women, which also emulates th...
