Use of Weather Satellite Infrared Image in Determining the Presence of Fog
I need to answer these two questions using lession guides. I do not have the book but if you guys have the reference please use it (Meteorology Today 11th Edition by C. Donald Ahrens and Robert Henson. The lesson guides don't mention heat stress or heat exhaustion pertaining to Q A3 so maybe add some information about that in there.
Q B3: The two questions I have chosen are as follows: Synthesize and apply related concepts from Modules 2 and 3 to explain why using a weather satellite infrared image would be best for determining the presence of fog and/or low clouds at an airfield.
Q A3: Suppose it is a Saturday morning, and while watching your local weather forecast on television, you hear the meteorologist state that the predicted maximum heat index for the day will approach 100 °F. Synthesize and apply related concepts from Modules 2 and 3 to explain why this information indicates that engaging in outdoor activities on Saturday afternoon could be potentially dangerous to your health.
Please do not include the original question in the answer and thank you in advance for your help. If there are any questions or concerns please let me know.

Weather Satellite Images
Applying Infrared Satellite Imaging would be best for determining the presence of fog and or low clouds at an airfield. There are three common technologies for observing the earth from space; Visible (VIS), infrared (IR), and Water Vapor. When it comes to observing clouds or fog at an airfield, IR is the most useful. IR technology, unlike VIS, can show the distance of the clouds from the earth as well as the temperature of the surface. Where clouds are close to the earth in an airfield, the clouds would appear as faint, fading grey images. In contrast, clouds that are far away from the earth will appear with white brightness in the satellite image. In VIS satellite, all clouds, regardless of their distance from the earth, would have the same appearance, hence a poor indicator for clouds or fog in an airfield. In addition, an IR satellite would tell temperature variations from the ...
