Technical Paper: Programming (Object-Oriented Concepts)

Essay Instructions:

Technical Paper: Object-oriented Programming (OOP) / Event-Driven Programming (EDP) versus Procedural Programming (PP)
Due Week 10 and worth 140 points
Use the Internet or Strayer databases to research the advantages, features, and common examples of OOP and EDP. Note: You may use the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Digital Library to support research on the above topics. Instructions detailing the necessary steps to access the ACM Digital Library are located at the end of the Course Guide.
Write a three to five (3-5) page paper in which you:
Identify at least two (2) advantages to using OOP as compared to using only PP.
Create one (1) original example of a class with at least one (1) attribute and one (1) method. Identify what the class in question represents, the attributes the class stores, and the purpose of the related method. Next, examine the relationship between the class, attributes, and methods that you have identified.
Describe at least one (1) feature of object-oriented programming that Visual Logic lacks.
Identify at least one (1) advantage to using event-driven programming, as compared to using purely procedural programming.
Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:
Explain and identify object-oriented concepts.
Identify object-oriented classes and also the attributes and methods they contain.
Explain the use and benefits of object-oriented programming and event-driven programming.
Use technology and information resources to research issues in computer programming design.
Write clearly and concisely about computer programming design topics using proper writing mechanics and technical style convention.k

Programming is the designing of commands that are to solve a problem or carry out a procedure. Most of the programs are designed depending on the work it is to deliver and the expected results. Several programs are designed for different platforms as others can work in all platforms. The programming techniques also vary depending on the execution method and the user. Some are driven by human users as others are self-driving and will give commands to human users (Diaz, 2012).
Identify at least two (2) advantages to using OOP as compared to using only PP.
Object Oriented Programming is a programming style organized around object and leaves actions aside. It functionality depends on how these objects are organized and not the classes. Procedural programming is based on modular and a boundary of scope. The object oriented programming is based on a modularity system which can pass a code in the system (DÒ€™Hont, 2010). This is not possible with procedural programming which uses a top-down procedure in coding. The codes cannot be overpassed when executing a procedure.
When dealing with object oriented programming one is allowed to recycle a code that is already used in a program. They are also flexible for reprogramming. For procedural programming it is a one use code that cannot be reapplied elsewhere.
Create one (1) original example of a class with at least one (1) attribute and one (1) method.
Example of a program
This is a program that can execute the weight of an oscillation, wavelength and the acceleration depending on what the user needs.

Classes in this sample are the statements that are represented by the blue letters which will identify a command in every step of execution. It includes instructions like frequency, wavelength and number of sensors (Yaiser, 2011). It works in a way that will request these values to be entered when creating these projects. The attributes stored in classes are data of the possible commands that are in the execution. They...
