In the modern world, IT has influenced the human society in many areas, becoming part of people’s daily life. In workplaces, IT is integrated into organizational culture exhibiting a strong, continuous, and coordinated interaction with human (Scacchi, 2003). In the current global market, organizations are obliged to adopt the appropriate and efficient IT systems that fit in the demanding environment that emphasizes on increased social responsibility. As the need for organizations to increase their social responsibility keeps on becoming important, so is the need for organizations to adopt IT systems that demonstrates the adherence to social responsibility principles (Balloni, 2010).
The society, which includes organizations and their employees, usually has various challenges that if not addressed, may compromise the welfare of the people in some ways. For instance, the today’s workplace environment demands that the employees be well educated to be aware of the most important knowledge that is important for their improved efficiency and improved competitive advantage (Ricotta, 1993).
