Introduction.
In most cases, people have only understood depression as a mental disorder affecting the physical functioning and also the general well-being of a person. It goes beyond that since the mind is the central functioning unit that runs and controls the whole body so it’s a full body illness. The are various reasons leading to depression for instance drug and substance abuse, medical condition, death or loss and sexual abuse like rape. It can be characterized by overwhelming sadness, constant fatigue, withdrawal from friends and family, lack of enjoyment in things enjoyed before, inability to concentrate and hopelessness among others.
Statement of purpose.
People continue to suffer from depression different causes due to lack of information, ignorance or lack of a solution. The main point of doing this is to keep people informed and enlightened so as to be able to handle this condition at ease. Depression is a condition that catches up with people as a result of different happenings in life and if not handled on time may lead to suicide in its last stage. Lack of the knowledge may mean suffering while having the idea on how to fight depression. A report (W.H.O.) claims that suicide is the second leading cause of death with close to 800,000 people dying between the age of 15-29yrs.
