In the contemporary world, firms make a trivial investment in products and technologies to enhance the course of innovative functions with the aim of meeting the current needs and trends in the globe. Through this, firms adopt different technological innovations and strategies geared towards bringing an innovative developed environment (Graebner, Eisenhardt, & Roundy, 2010).
Through the implementation and the launches of these systems, the scopes of this products and services are enhanced. However, in some situations, this launches do not bear fruit. This paper, therefore, seeks to analyze the reasons behind the success and failure of such product launches.

According to Joan and Julie, the implementation of new technologies and applications create a competitive periphery and are the core in the modern world. These authors assert that the chances of success for this technologies and application depended solely on the strategies employed by a corporation. Numerous factors can lead to the success or failure of an innovation with the biggest factor attributed to preparation.
A lack of preparation or a properly prepared company determines the success of a technology or its failure (Joan & Julie 2011). Many companies tend to focus on the designing of new technologies and application and end up forgetting the hard work of marketing the products till time passes the product.
An example displayed is that of Microsoft Vista that was launched in 2007. The public had a higher demand and expectation for the product. However, the innovation and issues with its compatibility and performance, a factor that made Microsoft’s loyal customers rebel (Joan & Julie 2011). The product flopped in the market, and Apple took over with the Mac application. It is, therefore, imperative to consider the fact that negative feedback also is a major problem as to the failure of an innovation.
When Apple Company launched its innovation to the market, there was a positive response from the public on their innovations (Schilling, 2002). The timing of their market was appropriate, a factor that should be considered in the launching of a product with the aim of succeeding in the market.
