Liberal arts education entails gaining skills in critical thinking, teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and economic, societal and political differences. It also equips one to adapt to new careers, new circumstances and further education. These skills obtained would help me implement solutions in a real world setting rather than conduct arguments. In addition, ethical thinking and questioning grounded by liberal arts education would complement my degree in the building industry. I would be able to demonstrate ethical judgement in my designs which would have solved complex design problems. I would also be sensitive to cultural differences that is an important factor in the workplace (Pulliam, 2009).
