Before choosing an online survey tool, you must first analyze how easy it is to use with respect to its interface, installation and the format of the questions. One should also consider the web survey options, distribution options, the automation of data collection, sampling features, tracking of respondents, ease of respondent list importation and the reporting as well as analysis options available (Shaughnessy et al., 2011). One should also consider the customer support options, training of the respondents and the provision of other professional services on the instrument chosen.
The research questions chosen will then help determine what your target population will be. Hence, selecting the study participants will require one to conduct a purposive sampling to determine what sample population will best improve the results of the study.
