Adolescent stage is a critical development stage in life with serious challenges. They are affected by drugs and substances abuse. However, the treatment processes outlined in this topic are inevitable in mitigating the effects of drugs and substance among the teenagers. Most essentially, the treatment planning process focuses on the correctional behavior therapy. The process enabled me to cope with peer influence which was the greatest challenge in my life (Waller, 2014). The inpatient care process enabled me to restrict my interaction with friends. This, therefore, helped me meet my needs.

According to Otis, the treatment planning processes outlined in this topic have enabled him to resolve critical problems in his life. Managing the effects of drugs and substances abuse was not easy, however, through adherence to the counseling process, he was capable of recovering his appetite and recover from the trauma (Townsend, 2014). Meanwhile, Otis was not able to fully meet his needs because a thorough review of his family history was not undertaken. Drugs and substances abuse are hereditary conditions. It must be addressed bot at the individual level and family level.

According to Johnny, the treatment planning process is a concise and straightforward guideline like the WHO guideline which does not require much time while providing counseling services. It is simple and direct, and the counselors simple require to understand the core concepts during service delivery (Rudestam, & Newton, 2014). The clients are often given ample and adequate time to express themselves. During the counseling sessions, the counselors trigger the clients to express their feelings using the treatment planning guideline.
