Singapore, Hong Kong & Guangzhou

Instructions: Use the Topical Headings Show Below. Fill in subtropical headings as necessary for your submitted Assignment 4 Paper.  Students may use additional headings and sub-headings. However, the topical headings in bold black must be used. Page orientation should be in Portrait, except for the Comparative Analysis Chart.
Introduction 
This section may be formatted and presented as an Abstract. An Introduction or Abstract must be short, concise and precise that describes the nature of the work being performed; The methodology used; and results obtained. It should be no more than 3 to 5 sentences constructed as noted. Make sure you specifically define Strategic Competitiveness as it relates to the three cities. 
Evaluation Criteria 
Identify the evaluation criteria used by which the analysis of each city will be compared. Use not less than 6 nor more than 10 criteria.  Define each with specificity. Explain why your chosen criteria will held meaningful results for each city and to compare them.  This section requires specificity of identification and definition of each criteria. Do not generalize. Be specific and detailed. 
Comparative Analysis 
1. Presentation of Comparative Analysis  
Insert Chart as its Own Page. Orientate the chart in Landscape if possible. If necessary, place in an appendix if you have trouble formatting your paper using Portrait and Landscape in the same document. In this section just type in “See Appendix for Table 1, Comparative Analysis Char. 
 Format is on posted document on BB under “contents” and titled “Assignment 4_Comparative Analysis Chart Template & Instructions.”  
For the Comparative Analysis Chart use not less than 6 nor more than 10 Criteria 
2. Updated Research 
In this section students will provide updated information as to each city that may impact the strategic competitiveness of each. This information should be part of the competitive analysis in part 1 and 3 of analysis. Presentation of the update research should no more than 1 page in length.  
3. Discussion of City Comparisons and Contrasts of Cities  
In this section in clear, concise and precise terms the written interpretation of the data displayed in the Comparative Analysis chart is discussed. NO LONG NARRATIVES ARE NEEDED, DESIRED OR NECESSARY. 
Summary of Comparative Strategic Competitiveness 
Summarize the relative strategic competitiveness of each city. DO NOT REPEAT P Comparative Analysis, part 2. Rate the cities from most to least competitiveness of the three. 
Limitations  There are limitations to every study. In this section students are to develop the limitations seen in each of the articles trying to explain the competitiveness of the cities. What is left unexplained? 
Future Study (or Suggestions):  For each city about how they might Improve their respective competitiveness. Or describe specifically what you would like to study more about strategic competitiveness in the public sector. Or suggest challenges ahead for each city.    
Appendix:  Place Comparative Analysis Chart here if it doesn't fix in landscape orientation  
References  Provide Compete references and full citations for every reference used in developing Assignment 4.

Governments through their diverse agencies are spearheading their nation’s quest for sustainable growth and development across the three social domains by the development and implementation of effective policies to facilitate the realization of the said objective. It is in line with the increasing demands of globalization that the public sector is developing effective interventional measures towards the promotion of sustainable growth and development in the increasingly competitive globalized dispensation. Among such measures is the development of strategic cities defined by the characteristic features and elements facilitating the achievement of the global demands. These cities function to provide competitive environments for sustainable growth and development through characteristic global political, economic, and social infrastructure. In essence, global cities are characterized by holistic strategic approaches towards the promotion of competitive environments across the outlined domains for sustainable growth and development on the same. Cities with global status such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Guangzhou highlight the characteristic features that define their distinct adaptations to the demands of globalization and the perceived subsequent developments across the social, political, and economic domains in the global dispensation. Provided herein is a comparative analysis of the cities' strategic competitiveness as portrayed through the evaluation of some of the distinct elements within the social, political, and economic domains.
Evaluation Criteria
The comparative analysis of the cities strategic competitiveness thrives on the evaluation of each city’s unique elements stemming from the social, political, and economic domains. The elements for evaluating the cities’ strategic competitiveness include their historical backgrounds, demographics, the governmental structural analysis, situational analysis, and the competitive strategies embraced by each city. Each of the city’s basic economic conditions and structure, as well as their geographical competitiveness, provides excellent platforms for the evaluation of the global cities’ strategic competitiveness.
