Neighborhood refers to a specific geographic area that functions as a social network set (Perchoux et al., 2016). It is a geographically localized social community with considerable one-on-one interaction between members, often within a suburb, city, town, or a rural area. Communities live in environments that are grouped into natural, artificial, and social settings. We use these three groupings to explore a neighborhood. The topic of the area looks small, but it is fascinating because it defines who we are, where we live, and what kind of lifestyle we live, making it an essential issue for sociological development.
People live in a particular neighborhood because of several reasons. We do not live anywhere we find. Instead, we live in places with features that we wanted. Neighborhood defines the safety of a place. Every person is looking for safety, a factor that a neighborhood determines. To be safe, you need to know your neighbors well (Hipp, Wo, & Kim, 2017). This way, they will alert you in case of any danger or attempted robbery. The neighbors will also involve you when they have a meeting concerning safety or any other issue affecting the neighborhood. Such kinds of involvements unconsciously add to your happiness.
Some people like to keep pets, but this cannot be the case for everyone. Therefore, some neighborhoods do not allow pets like dogs and cats. You need to know your neighborhood well before you fall into trouble with them. If you are planning to shift to a new place, it is important to conduct a study about the neighborhood to ensure you do not offend the people and end up being sued or being ejected from the neighborhood.
