* Most studies concentrate on patients with adult-onset Schizophrenia with few studies associated with patients with the early onset of Schizophrenia (EOS). Schizophrenia risk factors vary for different people.
* Few studies have been devoted to young adults with Schizophrenia
Research supporting perspectives
* Studies have been conducted on the facial emotional expression in schizophrenia young adults during social interactions. Lotzin et al., (2013) indicated impairments in facial expressions in adolescents with schizophrenia as emotional responses portray a person’s attitude and state of mind.
* Impairments considered to be symptoms of Schizophrenia included anhedonia, inappropriate affect and affective blunting.
* The study compared adolescents with schizophrenia with the non-patient adolescents and this data was analyzed in SPSS using linear models. The interaction was mainly among the adolescent patients with the caregiver.
